Cristyn Harp player based in Dubai UAE, graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music with a Bachelors in Music and majoring in Performance ( specializing in harp ) and was consequently awarded a scholarship for a Masters Degree in Harp Performance at Trinity College of Music, London under the guidance of Imogen Barfod and Gabriella Dall’Olio. She also studied in Nice, South of France with Mdme. Elizabeth Fontan-Binoche. Since then, Cristyn has enjoyed a successful and varied freelance career. As a solo harpist, she has performed at many signification places in London, including the House of Lords, The British Library, and the IOD Headquarters. Her engagements have included solo and chamber music recitals, orchestral concerts and touring as the primary musician with an internationally renowned theatre company, Theatre Alibi, providing elegant music for most of the major international hotel chains including The Ritz, The Hilton, Claridges, TheDorchester and Sofitel. Cristyn was resident harpist 2005-2006 at the exquisite Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire. She has played for the likes of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord Mayor of London, and many celebrities from the arts and sports world. Cristyn has received numerous awards and prizes for playing, including the Rotary Young Musician of the Year and the Bristol Eisteddfod. Due to her musical and technical abilities and friendly personality, Cristyn enjoys immense popularity with all of her clients. Since moving to Dubai in 2011, Cristyn has done a number of high profile performances including the annual SIKKA festival at Bastikyia (as part of the Kolibri Trio), and is currently a resident harpist at the renowned 5* Kempinski hotel Dubai.
