Clara - Female Cello Player

Clara a classically trained Cello Player Dubai based, was born in Venezuela. She took to the Cello at the age of 10. With a keen interest in music and performance, she graduated from La Plata Fine Arts School – Argentina after completing her Bachelors degree in Music, majoring in Cello studies. This was followed by studies in Electro Acoustic Music Composition at the Quilmes University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. As member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra and Youth Chamber Music Orchestra, Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires she has performed in various prestigious concert halls all over South America. She has also performed Tango shows in the traditional “Milongas” (Argentinean tango houses). In March 2005 she performed a series of Cello-Piano duo concerts of Argentinean pieces in Italy (Friuli Venezia Giulia). She further enhanced her degree by doing specialisd Cello studies under the guidance of Maria Teresa Fainstein Day and Juarez Johnson, Chamber music under Monica Cosachov and Jazz improvisation under Guillermo Romero. As part of the Community programme in La Plata, Argentina, she taught and assisted the Children´s Orchestra of the Jose Maria Bustillo School. Clara also completed her Suzuki Teacher trainings with the “Association Suzuki de Buenos Aires” and attended the Suzuki training workshops in Seattle. Clara is an experienced performer and teacher and has been in Dubai since 2008. She joined CMA in January 2012 as a Cello specialist.
